About HOSA

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a student-led organization for those interested in healthcare and leadership. Through HOSA, students can explore health careers, build leadership skills, and participate in fun activities, competitions, and community service. It’s a chance to learn more about the medical field while preparing for success in high school, college, and beyond.

Last year, Alpharetta HOSA partnered with Samaritan’s Purse to get involved in Operation Christmas Child. This mission was to make sure underprivileged children got the chance to experience a fulfilling christmas. Our members had a lot of fun hand-picking and packaging gifts to send out. These boxes count for points and give you service hours.

Alpharetta HOSA also partnered with Wellstar to express our gratitude to healthcare professionals. Members got to make christmas cards to send to hospital staff. These cards both counted for points and gave the members service hours.

We periodically conduct both CHOA and Furkids fundraisers. These fundraisers provide support for important organizations and are a great way to give back to the community. Our first fundraiser will be with Furkids at our September meeting!

Trace & Label: Life-Size Anatomy Challenge

Get into groups. Each group will need a big sheet of paper and some markers.

Trace a body. One person in your group will lie down on the paper. The rest of the group will trace around their body so you have an outline.

Add the organs. Using your outline as a guide, work together to draw where the major organs go inside the body.

Compare. After everyone is done, we’ll look at the outlines and see how close you got to the real positions of the organs!!
