Rotational Blended learning Kick-off Party
The how, why, and when
Overview
This will be a year-long initiative.
What is Rotational Blended learning?
What you are already doing.
We are not reinventing the wheel here, we are only going to take what you already do in your classrooms to the next level by intentionally using technology to increase students’ active participation and ownership of their learning.
How do you expect me to do this?
With support and time.
We will be meeting bi-weekly to give support to you as needed as we show you tools and strategies you can immediately implement in your class.
Why do i have to do this?
This is the best way to get you back to the joy of teaching
By personalizing learning and giving students ownership of their learning, you will be able to focus on the best parts of teaching.
Schedule
Next steps
Phase 1:
This phase has been completed. You know your innovation team and you know what our goal is for this year.
Phase 2:
At your next PLC meeting you will be given a list of 5-8 tech tools that you may find helpful for the content area you teach. 2-4 of those tools will have a full demo given by a member of our innovation team (introduced earlier)
Phase 3:
About 4 weeks later, you will then sit down with your innovation leader (from phase 2) and you will lesson plan using a 3-column table so that your technology tools and traditional lesson elements blend seamlessly.
Phase 4:
About 6 weeks later, you will meet with your PLC team and your innovation leader to give your lesson ideas a cohesive look utilizing Google Classroom to host all of your reference materials, technology based activities, and other resources as needed.
You Can Do this!
We will work as a team to create blended learning units that are comfortable for you and meaningful for your students.
