• History:
• Physicians have been using cold laser therapy for over 40 years on patients who are seeking effective, alternative methods for pain relief.
• Over 2,500 clinical studies published worldwide since 1967. Most of these studies were double-blinded and placebo-controlled. They clearly demonstrated the effectiveness of cold laser therapy for pain relief.
• The Bone and Joint Decade 2000-2010 Task Force on Neck Pain reviewed the effectiveness of cold laser therapy for neck pain. The review concluded that low-level laser therapy is a valuable treatment for many conditions.
• Safety and Side Effects:
• CLT is generally considered safe and painless, with few reported side effects. However, some individuals may experience temporary aggravation of old injuries after treatment.

• Mechanism:
• CLT works by delivering photons of light to the body's cells, which are then absorbed by cellular photoreceptors, triggering biochemical changes. This can lead to reduced inflammation, enhanced cell function, and increased blood flow.
• In laymen’s terms: The laser shines a red (DVD wavelength) laser light to interact with tissue. This helps accelerate the body’s natural healing process.
• Cold lasers are not hot to the touch.
• Cold lasers create photons (red light) that pass light through the skin and fat

Example of Cold Laser Therapy in Nature

• The photons are absorbed and interact with the light sensitive elements within a cell. (Similar to photosynthesis in plants where sunlight is absorbed into plant and converted to energy to grow and heal.)
• This light energy absorbed by the cells allows each cell to “normalize”. This increasing intracellular metabolism results in a reduction in pain, inflammation, edema and reduced healing time.
• Photons absorbed by the cells through laser therapy stimulate the mitochondria to accelerate production of ATP. This biochemical increase in cell energy is used to transform live cells from a state of illness to a stable, healthy state.

• Reparative technique most commonly used in the field of Orthopedics for the treatment of non-union fractures, failed fusions, Congenital Pseudoarthrosis and depression.
• PEMF therapy has a history dating back to the 19th century with scientists like Michael Faraday and James Clerk Maxwell.
• The 1970s saw the introduction of PEMF as a treatment method by Bassett and colleagues.

• Key Principles or Working Theories:
• Mimicking Natural Frequencies: PEMF therapy uses low-frequency electromagnetic waves that are similar to naturally occurring frequencies, like those associated with thunderstorms, and are considered safe.
• Cellular Stimulation: The electromagnetic pulses penetrate through clothing and tissue to reach the target area, influencing cellular behavior by inducing electrical changes around and within cells.
• Nitric Oxide Cascade: One key mechanism involves the activation of the nitric oxide (NO) cascade. • It is a fairly low power signal so it should be used next to your body
• PEMF Coils have higher output at lower frequencies but that doesn’t mean that they don’t work well at higher frequencies
• Penetration is much deeper than Cold Laser
• Typically uses a Sine Wave and can distort other wave forms

• Using the PEMF Coil with the Spooky Central is very different than using with a generator.
• The Spooky Central sends a constant 100hz frequency to the PEMF Coil regardless of what frequencies the Program is sending.
• It also sends a High Voltage spike to help open up the cells of your body. This process is called electroporation
• ONLY use Plasma (P) Presets with the Spooky Central. You cannot send frequencies to your body with the PEMF Coil attached to the Spooky Central
