Great news, everyone! We’ll resume working on the Manifest Destiny Podcast. It is now due Friday, April 10. If you can somehow work remotely with your partner you may still do so. But if you can’t find an efficient way to do this you must create your own podcast.

Please re-review the assignment description and requirements below. Then submit any questions to the Google Form. Tomorrow I’ll have a video answer all questions and reviewing the project. I’ve also added four examples from last year on the second to last slide. Good luck and I’ll talk to you tomorrow!

What: You will create a podcast talking about an event from Westward Expansion and its connection to Manifest Destiny. You will also connect this event to a current/semi-current event or institution that is part of the legacy of Manifest Destiny.

Why: To show how history impacts our present.

Manifest Destiny Podcast

Requirements:

-Follow this outline to create a script (assigned in Classroom).

-Create a bibliography and need at least three sources for each event (six total).

-It must be a high quality production (use of music and background music, free of errors, clear vocal tracks, etc.)

-Podcasts must be a minimum of five minutes in length and a maximum of 10 minutes in length.

-You must have a link to your finished product.

*In order to receive a 3.5 or 4 you must include a primary audio source

-You may work with 1 partner or by yourself.

-You may use any software you’d like to create the podcast.

-If you are willing I’d urge you to publish your podcast.

-There is podcast station and a usb microphone available for use. These will be first come, first serve based on who has completed their podcast script.

-The podcast station will be available during lunches and after school, Thursday, March 28th.
