What is value-based healthcare?

Value-based healthcare is an approach to healthcare services which focuses on the measurement of health outcomes to define the cost of said services, rather than on the number of services provided.

VBHC aims to reduce overall healthcare costs while improving patient outcomes comprehensively, that is: improved response to treatment, minimizing complications and improved quality of life.
