So what can schools and teachers do to bring some joy into children's formal education? Children typically spend from six to seven hours each day in school for nearly 10 months each year. During the school year, children generally spend more time interacting with their teachers than with their parents. Who is the Roxborough PTIC?

Roxborough PTIC connects classrooms,

families and our community.

Goal- Raise $80-100,000 to support needs of the school

Create memory making events for our children while spreading kindness and joy!

PARENT TEACHER INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE

PTIC stands for Parent Teacher Involvement Committee for Roxborough Primary and Intermediate School. We are a non-profit chapter of the Douglas County Education Foundation. We have over 30 committees that make up the PTIC. We put on large events that make memories for students and families. Events include Trunk or Treat, Father Daughter Dance, Community Auction and Space Day, but also have committees that help distribute grants to teachers and run the mobile app. With such a diversity of committees, we have volunteer opportunities with a wide variety of time commitments.

We are a fun group of over 70 parents, grandparents and community members that support our schools. We raise money for the school and host events throughout the school year. Funds raised by the PTIC help fund specials teachers, staff training, educational resources, and school activities. Most importantly, we are about making the school a great place to be for our kids.
