For the first term you will explore new ideas and techniques. This is your chance to take big risks, be experimental and not worry about marks, as none of this work will be assessed.
You will then have until just after Easter in Year 13 to produce two units of work. The first is a personal investigation and the second is an externally set exam.
Both units combine to get your A Level grade

Component 1: Personal Investigation 96 marks
This is another portfolio project, but it must be PERSONAL! That means you should pick a topic that you are passionate about, so that you can be highly critical, ask lots of questions and develop it in a very personal direction.
This component also includes a 1000-3000 word essay.
�Component 2: Externally Set Assignment (15hr Exam) 96 marks
You will be issued an exam paper according to the title (endorsement) you have chosen. There will be eight exciting starting points, from which you will choose one.
When does it get marked?
All work will be marked after Easter in Year 13 for both components.
