Our aim...

ACCoS Early Childhood Providers and New Entrant Community. We aim to be leaders in transitioning children to school.

The goals set for 2018:

  • Cohort entry. What are schools doing?

  • Transition programmes

  • Supporting children with special needs

  • Digital Sharing

  • Relationship building within the group

What we loved...

  • that these meetings are in existence (networking)

  • connecting and understanding expectations (linking the partnership)

  • different locations (great to see other schools)

  • interest/value in each others sectors

  • time to talk about topics in smaller groups

  • focusing evenings around a topic/PD

What we could do better...

  • increased use of blog and sharing interesting readings/articles (or do we switch to a private Facebook page?)

  • hosting at ECEs (not just schools)

Topics for 2019

We identified 13 topics and areas of interest for 2019 and possible guest speakers

Good luck to Elizabeth Moore (Kohia Terrace School) who is the new Teacher Leader facilitating this group in 2019 and will tackle these goals.

Thank you for the opportunity, I have really enjoyed leading

this group and watching it develop.
