Itinerary�Day One�Wednesday – April 15

  • 9:30 PM Meet at the high school

You and your parent will check in with your chaperone in the band

room. When your check-in is completed you will load the coach

  • 10:30-11:00 PM – Departure time

  • Approximate 9 hour drive
  • We will stop for rest rooms twice and will stop to switch out the driver in the middle of the night

Check-In Process

  • Each student and parent will be required to meet with their chaperone in either the band room upon arrival.
  • In order for the check-in process to go smoothly, we need for each student to make the following items available by packing them at the top of their luggage:
      • Seniors: Trip Shirts, dressy outfit for the Atlanta Symphony Concert
      • Chamber Students Only: Concert Attire Instrument, Music…..Yes, you will need your own music!
      • Students with medication need to meet with the person in charge of medicine upon arrival. Mr. Kuskowski

Check-In (continued)

  • Once you have been checked in by your chaperone, you will be cleared to load the bus with your luggage and instrument (Chamber Students Only). Instruments will need to be loaded under the bus first, then luggage. Please make sure that your luggage and instrument case have your names on them. Please use name tags that won’t come off easily.

Day Two�Thursday, April 16

ARRIVE IN ATLANTA AREA:

Stop at a Travel Center for a quick breakfast

BRING MONEY FOR THIS ($10-$15)

Once downtown we will be dropped off at Georgia Aquarium

Tour the Aquarium from 9:30 to 12:30

In Chaperone groups we will tour around the downtown area to include:

    • Centennial Olympic Park
    • Coca Cola
    • Chick-Fil-A College Football Hall of Fame
    • Skyview Atlanta Ferris Wheel

Day Two, Continued�Thursday

2:30 PM Meet our coach to travel to the hotel

Check into our hotel:

Embassy Suites Atlanta Perimeter Center,

Dinner Ponce City Market–Given $25 Cash

Attend the Atlanta Symphony Concert

11pm - Lights out & Security Officer on duty

Day Three�Friday, April 17

8:00am - Breakfast Buffet at the hotel

9:15am - Depart the hotel for Kennesaw State

10:00am - Chamber participates in a clinic hosted by Dr. Nathaniel Parker

Non-Chamber participants will receive a campus tour and time at the Carmichael Student Center as well as the Campus Green

Bring a frisbee!

NOON - We will depart Kennesaw State and

head to The Perimeter Mall for lunch.

Day Three, Continued�Friday, April 17

2:30pm - We will go to the hotel to change clothes for the Orchestra Competition

3:30pm - Depart the hotel due to potential traffic issues

5:00pm – Chamber will be performing at the Southern Star Music Competition

Chamber Students will bring a change of clothes for the rest of the evening.

7pm–We will enjoy the Game Show Battle Rooms for a night of fun/food and much laughter! We will eat Blue Moon Pizza, Soft Drinks and a Cookie Bar.

Day Four�Saturday, April 18

Breakfast Buffet 8:00-9:00 AM

Load the coach with luggage and

instruments

Hotel check out at 9:30 AM

Travel to Six Flags Over Georgia

Park opens at 11:00

Group will get a meal coupon to use for a meal

Awards Ceremony is in the Theme Park

Park Closes at 8pm – Meet the coach in bus parking

Travel Home with a stop for dinner early in the trip. Bring $ for this!

Day Five�Sunday April 19, 2026

We will arrive back at Grassfield High School around 7am on Sunday morning. Students will text home when we are 45 minutes away. PLEASE arrive early to pick up your student so I can go home and sleep!

Spring Trip Behavior Contract

  • The following is a list of rules that we expect every student to abide by at all times while they are on this trip. It is imperative that each student and parent understand the rules and the consequences that will follow if the rules are broken.

Rules

  • Students are expected to conduct themselves with class and maturity at all times. Chaperones will be “on duty” at all times to meet students’ needs and to enforce the rules and regulations. Students knowing of any potential rule infractions are encouraged to bring them to a chaperone immediately with the assurance of anonymity if desired

Rules

  • Students will be considered in school while participating on this trip. ALL school rules and District rules will apply during the dates of the trip.

  • Students will be expected to follow the specified requirements as outlined in the school handbook.

  • Students will be required to hand in a signed Participant Application and Spring Trip Behavior Contract before they depart for Atlanta.

Rules

  • The regular school dress code will be strictly enforced. Students are expected to dress in a manner which will represent the school appropriately.

  • The use of ANY alcoholic beverages, drug substances, or any type of tobacco (cigarettes, vapes or chew) is NOT permitted. Students will be sent home for an infraction of this rule at their parent’s expense

Rules

  • No student may leave their hotel room once curfew has been established. Any student caught leaving their room will be sent home at their parent’s expense.

  • Students will be taped into their rooms at curfew. If that tape is broken during the night those students will be questioned and will be sent home if a reasonable response is not given.

  • Private Security Officers will be at the hotel each night to ensure students safety and should be treated with respect by all students at all times.

Rules

  • Students are expected to be at every event during this trip, on time and ready. Please make sure that you are always aware of when and where you are supposed to be

  • Students are expected to follow the directions of all appointed chaperones and leaders on this trip at ALL times. Failure to do so repeatedly will result in your child being sent home.

  • All bus riding rules will be strictly enforced. Please treat our bus driver with respect and keep your area of the bus clean

  • When in doubt about any rule, students should ask their Chaperone BEFORE they decide to participate in the activity.

  • Please understand that your behavior on this trip will directly affect future groups’ ability to travel

  • Blanket for the bus—IT WILL BE COLD!!

  • Playing Cards, PG Movies, Books for the Bus
  • $100-125 spending money—souvenirs, food (4 meals are not included in this package (1 Breakfast, 2 lunches, 1 dinner last night)
  • Suitcase must be a medium sized one, not a large one, we just don’t have room! Each person gets 1 suitcase, 1 carry on (backpack etc)

  • Instrument and Music! (Chamber Only)
