Pathways

It is an experience; with an interactive, exciting, flexible way to develop your skills and help others in your club develop theirs. Pathways helps you learn communication and leadership skills that you need to succeed. It gives you:�

    • The opportunity to build  up to 300 unique competencies
    • 11 specialized learning paths to choose from
    • Online content, so that you can learn anytime, anywhere
    • Real-world, transferable skills
    • Content is also made available in various other languages to make this framework more inclusive and adaptive

The 3 levers to steer Pathways

There are 5 core competencies that are addressed or catered to. These are the universal capabilities that are essential in effective communication and leadership

Core Competencies

  • Each customized path includes 5 Levels of proficiencies you will need to follow to learn.
  • A before and after assessment mechanism helps us quantify our development, in each project at all levels .

Paths

  • Every Level aims at developing a competency.
  • It contains projects that enhances or improves our competencies.
  • Each project also ensures you with the training material, activities , supporting artefacts and finally the self assessment mechanism to validate your learnings.

Pathways is comprised of 11 paths that teach more than 300 unique competencies:�

As you progress through Pathways, you will:

  • Practice and improve your communication and leadership skills.
  • Give speeches in your club based on assignments in Pathways.
  • Challenge yourself to build and refine certain competencies and skills.
  • Complete a range of projects that include persuasive speaking, motivating others, creating a podcast and leading a group in a difficult situation.��

Develop real-world, transferable skills in many different areas through Pathways—communication, leadership, management, strategic planning, service to others, public speaking and more.

  • TI provides videos and tutorials- Members tutorials to access Pathways
  • To find evaluation resource for any project in one place go to the page that hosted by Karen Storey to store all evaluation resources

  • Update - Recent-most changes in Pathways Level 1
      • Projects in Level 1 has been updated- new project added, while researching and presenting has been made as an Elective in Level 3

Guide for Basecamp Managers

  • Pathways introduction and enrolment to new members every month within 1 week of joining- VP Education responsible
  • VP ED tools- Pathways tracking
  • Level Approval process
  • Member individual Path-wise tracking tool
    • Path progress should be tracked- post every meeting for each in- Club speaker the level tracker should be updated and
    • Levels completions should also be filed after completion of final projects in a Level, for any member- again within 3 days of completing the last Club Meeting

  • The 1st Path in your pathways journey is free
    • It includes the Basecamp access to
    • Digital materials for learning
    • To get printed materials it would cost you an extra $25.
    • You can even get other language specific resources available too.
    • There are special materials to facilitate the visually impaired Toastmasters
  • From the 2nd path onwards , for each path you would need to pay $20.
