CELT Workshops and Other Activities

Raise visibility of essential skills and methods of teaching, learning, and assessing them across the curriculum

  • Leverage CELT presence and network as hub for instructional development at UK
  • Provide both practical methods and rigorous conceptualizations of skills-based teaching and learning
  • Workshops linked either to specific skills and deep-dive resources (below) or skills-based issues broadly
  • Raise awareness around Graduate Profile in other CELT activities: consultations, presentations, etc.

Provide rigorous and evidence-based templates and examples for adapting in any curricular environment

  • One deep-dive guide per essential skill with explanations, rubrics, templates, and examples

    • Beginning in Fall 2026, all Stuckert Career Center PowerPoint presentations will include a dedicated slide highlighting the 10 Essential Skills.
    • The 10 Essential Skills will be prominently displayed throughout the Career Center for students and external guests.
    • TEK student ambassadors create social media content highlighting the 10 Essential Skills in TEK courses
    • Course syllabi highlight skills developed in individual courses
