Possible fundraiser for 2026

  • Thanks to Dave Davis for his idea to start a raffle to raise money for Lake Eustis Sailing Foundation (LEYSF) – a program that teaches kids to sail.
    • We regularly sponsor two kids/year from club funds, as well as “passing the hat” when Craig Yates gives his annual presentation to the club.
    • Would we like to increase the footprint of The Villages Sailing Club, to help inspire kids and pass on our love of sailing to a new generation?

    • We would like to organize a new LEYSF Fundraising Committee: 4-5 volunteers to sit on a committee to discuss/brainstorm fundraising ideas. If there’s a viable idea the committee believes is feasible, then we will start this activity.
    • Talk to me or Dave Davis, or email sailthevillages@gmail.com
