In Iceland we have a lot of holidays and traditions which are important for social inclusion, Some of which are Þorrablót, Öskudagur, Þorláksmessa, Föstudagurinn langi, menningarnótt and þrettándinn.
Language
And here are a few words that do not resemble each other at all in Icelandic and English
Currency
Our currency is called “króna” and it consists of a 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 and a 10000 króna bill.
And our coins consist of a 1, 5, 10, 50 and a 100 króna coin
Other information
In Iceland there are so many beautiful things to see including the amazing norhtern lights, if you have ever seen the northern lights you know what we are talking about but if you haven’t then you’ll just have to come and visit. And if you ever do visit you must try some “Þorramat” we highly recommend it.
