What are clouds.

Clouds are things in the sky that you see in the daytime, there are different types of clouds like the stratus cloud or the cirrus cloud but some clouds aren’t always white one turns grey and dark, into a thunder cloud, the clouds name is comulonimbus clouds. There are many other clouds in the sky like cumulus clouds they are puffy and look like cotton balls.

Cirrus Clouds

Cirrus clouds are in high level clouds that are blown by high winds that occur. They usually mean that we will have good weather and go the direction of the wind they look wispy.

Cumulonimbus clouds

Cumulonimbus clouds are thunder storm clouds that are dark, grey clouds. Cumulonimbus are also clouds that make lightning, thunder, tornados, can reach 39,000 feet.

Nimbostratus Clouds

Nimbostratus clouds are dark and gray clouds that produce falling rain, snow, hail, or sleet.

Cirrostratus clouds

They are very thin sheets of clouds that cover the sky.

Stratus clouds

Stratus clouds are low lying clouds. They are gray clouds that cover the entire sky and can be the result of very thick fog lifting in the morning.

Altostratus clouds

They are made of ice crystals and water droplets. They can cover the entire sky and for rain storms.

Cumulus clouds

They are also called fair weather clouds and look like floating cotton.They have very flat bases and are not very tall clouds.

Cirrocumulus clouds

Cirrocumulus clouds look like round puffs in the sky. They are called mackerel clouds sometimes they are called this because they look like fish scales.

Altocumulus clouds

Altocumulus clouds are composed of water droplets and are gray and puffy. These clouds are found on a humid summer mornings. They are a sign that a storm will be coming.
