Launching your Cal State Apply application with CaliforniaColleges.edu makes the application process faster, simpler, and more accurate, allowing you to put your best foot forward as you begin the path toward college and career success.
Hover over College in the top menu bar
Select California State University Application from the dropdown menu, click it
Under “Launch” select California State University Application
This is the REALLY cool part. By confirming, you are allowing all your grade & address information from Aeries to move into your application. This is save you a ton of time and make increase the accuracy of your application.
In the box that appears, click Confirm to be taken to Cal State Apply
Most all of you will select “Create an Account”
If you already made Cal State Apply account, you can now continue on to fill out your application.
You can sign back into your CalApply account later to continue your application.
Once you've launched & signed in, your accounts will be linked. You will not need to log in through CaliforniaColleges.edu again (unless you want to).
Use your name exactly how it reads in Aeries. If you do not have a middle name, you do not need to complete that box. Please note, that ONLY items with a RED ASTERISK * in this application are required information
Use your personal email address, one you use & check regularly. Do not use your AUHSD email address.
Use your cell phone number, you can put a parent number as an alternate if you want.
It is important to use a number that is permanent and not temporary.
Create a username & password that you will remember.

Once your information has been imported, you will see a pop-up window confirming that the import went through successfully. Click Continue.
To begin your review, click the High School Coursework tab on the left side of the screen to view the courses and grades that have been imported. ��Make sure to read the instructions and review your courses and grades carefully.
EDE & DE your classes will be added to your college coursework section
To compare course titles with what appears on your transcript, navigate back to your CaliforniaColleges.edu account and hover over My Plan in the top menu bar.
Select Academic Planner from the dropdown menu.
Click the CSU Application Info tab.
Scroll down to see how each of your courses is listed in Cal State Apply...
...And how each of your courses is listed on your student transcript.
You can also view additional information, such as the course term, A-G criteria, and the grades you received.
Return to the Academic History section of your Cal State Apply application and click on A-G Matching from the left-hand menu.
Ensuring A-G Alignment
It's important to ensure that your A-G courses and grades are aligned to the correct A-G subject areas in your Cal State Apply application.
These slides will show how to check which A-G subject areas courses have been assigned after they are imported.
Review the A-G Subject Totals table. This table is made up of courses that have been successfully imported and pre-verified.
The table corresponds to the courses shown in green on the CSU Eligibility Tool in your CaliforniaColleges.edu account. Check if you are uncertain about alignment.
Click through each grade level and CAREFULLY check you A-G validation for each course.
Please note that some Community Colleges course may not show up here, they will be added by you in the COLLEGE COURSEWORK section.
If you took ANY World Language in 7th or 8th grade - follow these instructions. If you did not take a World Language in 7th or 8th grade - you do not need to do this part.
In the A-G Matching area, scroll to the bottom and click: Add a Grade Level.
Add Western (or the HS you attended in 9th grade) and the year is 2021-22. EVEN THOUGH it was junior high

Type in the course name, type (NONE) & grades each semester
When complete, return to A-G matching and verify that the 7th & 8th grade courses are matching to the proper category.

To see exactly which courses are reflected in Cal State Apply's A-G Subject Totals table, you can use the CSU Eligibility Tool on the platform.
To do this, navigate back to CaliforniaColleges.edu, then hover over My Plan in the top menu bar.
Select Academic Planner from the dropdown menu.
Click the CSU Eligibility tab.
Here you can view the courses that are listed in green, meaning they are verified A-G courses with a grade of C or better. These are the courses that appear on the A-G Subject Totals table in Cal State Apply
If you see courses in yellow at the bottom of the CSU Eligibility Tool, it means that these courses will have to be manually assigned an A-G subject area in your Cal State Apply application.
First, identify any courses shown in yellow in the CSU Eligibility Tool.
If you have questions about these courses, talk to your counselor.
To manually assign yellow courses an A-G subject area, navigate back to your Cal State Apply application and back to the A-G Matching tab. Click Update A-G Courses.
There, you can manually assign these courses an A-G subject area.
If you have earned credits in any community college courses you will add that coursework in this section. Remember to verify if the course was taken at Cypress College. You will see a “C” next to the course name on your transcript. See below.
Do not list AP COURSES here, those are listed under high school course work
All DE Courses must be inputted under the College Coursework screen, not the High School Coursework screen.

This is where you will add your SAT, ACT or AP scores. None are required. However, adding your scores will assist your college in placement.
For APs, I recommend only reporting scores of a 3, 4 or 5.
You will complete this section even if you are not adding any tests, just indicate that you are not adding any tests.
