How it started

  • Breaks down the research process into pre-defined steps. Users enter a start date and end date for an assignment and the Assignment Calculator will compute the dates s/he needs to complete each step.
  • First version developed by the University of Minnesota Libraries.
  • Shared on https://sourceforge.net/p/assign-calc/ in 2006
  • Adopted by several colleges
