Rules & Guidelines

  • Teams of 1–4 participants
  • Less than 2 days to build your project
  • Follow Code of Conduct, respect mentors

Some Resources

  • Streamlit makes it really easy to deploy an app (must use Python)
  • Replit is useful for sharing projects and instant deployment
  • Use Github to share code if you're working in a team

Project Expectations

Important takeaways from Code of Conduct:

  • Projects must be relevant to the theme
  • Only work created during the event can be submitted. Open-source code and libraries are permitted with disclosure.
  • AI tools (code assistants, LLMs) are allowed with disclosure! AI has become a significant tool in CS, learning to leverage it is valuable.

  • 3–5 minutes per team
  • Problem → Solution → Features → Demo
  • Slides optional, demo recommended

Judging Criteria

  • Impact (25%) - Addresses a meaningful problem; clear audience & value.
  • Feasibility (25%) - Technically achievable and sustainable beyond the weekend.
  • User Experience (25%) - Accessible, intuitive, and user‑friendly.
  • Technical Craft (25%) - Architecture, code quality, originality, innovation.
