INTRODUCTION

Pharmacy is the art and science of preparing and dispensing of drug.

The Pharmacy word derived from the Greek word “pharmakon” means drug.

 Drug is any substance or product that is used or intended to be used to modify or explore physiological systems or pathological states for the benefit of the recipient.

DRUG INSPECTOR

  • Drug inspector is a professional in the field of pharmacy, who is an expert in monitoring and executing safety, quality and usefulness of drugs from the production stage to the selling stage.
  • Candidate are required to go through a selection process conducted by the UPSC (union public service commission) and/or SPSCs (state public service commission).
  • Minimum age required :-21 years old.
  • Any premises where in any drug or cosmetics is being manufactured and the means employed for standardizing and testing the drug or cosmetics.
  • Inspection of manufactured drugs
  • Drug inspector has the authority to cancel the license of such business units which are found having irregularities in term of complains of standards related to safety quality and hygienic premises.
