Boy’s Basketball- The boy’s varsity team is 13-5, JV is 16-1 and 9th grade is 13-2. Postseason pairings are set to be released the 2nd week of February. The Rams final home game of the regular season will be February 2nd. We will also honor our seniors this evening.
Girl’s Basketball- The girl’s varsity basketball team is 11-7 on the year. Postseason pairings are set to be released February 6th. Jenna Hopp has become the all-time leading scorer in Glenwood history with over 1500 points. We celebrated her accomplishment following the Creston basketball game. This past week she also set the school record for most points in a season.
Boy’s Wrestling- The boy’s wrestling team finished 3rd as a team at the H-10 Wrestling Tournament. Last Tuesday they lost 36-33 to miss out on the Team State Duals! Glenwood will be the host of the District Wrestling Tournament on February 11th at 10:00am. 8 schools will be in attendance and the top 2 wrestlers at each weight will qualify for the Individual State Wrestling Tournament.
Boy’s Swimming- Patrick Chase and Will Getter will compete at districts on Saturday February 3rd at 12:00pm at Johnston.
Girl’s Wrestling- Maya Rivas, Emily Lundvall & Lauralyse Flint-Spencer all qualified for the Girl’s State Wrestling Tournament. Emily went 2-2, Maya 1-2 and Lauralyse 0-2. A great first year for these 3 as well as all 6 girls who wrestled at the high school in year 1 of girls wrestling. 13 middle schools did wrestling this year as well!
State Large Group Speech- Glenwood will be sending 4 events to the State Speech Contest at Waukee on February 3rd. Below is the schedule and events for the day!

Officials Appreciation Week- January 30- February 3 we celebrated Officials Appreciation Week by presenting certificates to all of our officials as well as putting graphics on the video board.
Glenwood Gala- Our show choir hosted the 2023 Glenwood Gala on January 28th. It was a great event and Mr. Kilpatrick, our show choir kids and parents/volunteers put on a great event!
Cyclone Honor Band- Jessica Herron, Sawyer Patzer, Jabe Rounds & Lauryn Stille participated in the Cyclone Honor Band Festival in Ames on February 3rd and 4th.
