Shows a solid understanding of the concepts and skills included in the standards.

C

(70-79%)

Shows a basic understanding of the concepts and skills included in the standards.

D

(60-69%)

Shows a limited understanding of the concepts and skills included in the standards; needs additional learning opportunities.

I/ F

(0-59%)

Not yet shown an understanding of the concepts and skills included in the standards. Frequently this is a result of missing or incomplete work.

Learning Skills & Work Habits

  • At the end of each grading period, students complete a self-reflection on their own learning skills and work habits. That information is shared with all their teachers.

  • Teachers verify that the self-reflection is accurate and either accept the score or correct it with additional feedback to the student.

What is Canvas?

Canvas is where students and parents can see assignments, grades, and resources specific to their courses.

Teachers are expected to update Canvas daily or input them ahead of time.

What is Canvas?

All students have accounts which use their username (first.last) and a password. It is the same password used for logging into the computers at school and their Google account.

Parents/ Guardians can set up an observer account.

Formative Assessment: These assignments are practice and are used to inform the next steps in learning.

These don’t count towards the final grade.

Ex: Homework (HW), Classwork (CW), Formative Assessment (FA)
