Statistics Vocabulary practice:
Choose 3 words from the list that you don’t know and find the definition of that word.
My investigation:
Using PPDAC plan your own statistical investigation within your maths class.
Things to think about-
Problem- What am I going to investigate? Create a question to answer!
Plan- What am I going to do for my investigation? What information am I going to collect?
Data- Collecting all my raw data in a chart (Use a tally chart)
Analyse- How am I going to sort through my data, what is the best graph to use? Is it easy for me to look at? Does it clearly show my results?
Conclusion- What has my graph shown me? What is my answer to my problem/ investigation?
Problem:
What is my question?
Plan:
What steps am I going to take to answer this question? How am I going to get my answer?
Data:
Create a chart to collect your raw data for your investigation!
Analysis:
Copy and paste your raw data on google sheets and create a graph. Screenshot your graph and paste it here!
Conclusion:
What have you found out from your data and graph results?
What are some different variables you think you could use that could possibly change your results?
Analysing the data further
Looking at your investigation… what is the mean of your results?
What is the median of your results?
What is the mode?
