How to Prepare for AMA Spring Opportunities

Steps to Help YOU Get Prepared and Ready for the International Collegiate Conference (ICC)

  • All Student Competitors - Update YOUR AMA Profiles!
    • Before you sign up, make sure you confirm your graduation date (Month / Year) and list your preferred email address (we want all the AMA communications to reach you!)
  • Get Familiar with the Spring competitions & get to know the Competition Rules
    • Read the competition requirements, guidelines and take note of key dates and deadlines
  • Collaborate with chapter leaders and identify opportunities to participate in
    • Build your team and assign roles
  • Sign up for competitions before the sign up due date
    • Spring Competition Sign Ups Open: January 26, 2026, at 3:00pm CST (1:00pm PST/2pm MST/4:00pm EST)
    • Spring Competition Sign Ups will Close: February 11, 2026, at 11:59pm CST (9:59pm PST/10:59pm MST/12:59am EST)
      • Plan ahead and SET-UP internal timelines to help you stay on track
  • Call for ICC Research Presenters: submissions, due dates & guidelines
    • Call for ICC Research Presentations will Close: January 28, 2026
    • Use this opportunity to represent your institution and seek ICC travel funding

How to Register for AMA Spring Opportunities

Steps to Help Register Chapter Teams or Individuals for Spring Competitions

Competition sign-up can be completed either by an individual student or by a designated team lead from your chapter. If a team lead is submitting on behalf of others and the competition requires individual participant details, please ensure the designated team lead is prepared to provide the following information for each team member they sign up for a competition:

  • Individual Competing’s Full Name
  • Individual Competing’s Email Address (IMPORTANT: This Email MUST BE tied to the competitor’s AMA membership)
  • Cell Phone Number
  • Resume (URLs to PDFs)
  • LinkedIn Profile (URLs)
  • Expected Graduation Date (Month / Year)
  • Competitor’s Major
  • Competitor answers to Sponsor Questions (see each competition sign up for details)

Case Competition Winners Showcase:

This year-long academic competition brings together top marketing students to collaborate as a chapter team to solve a real-world business challenge and finalists present in-person at ICC. Attend the Case Competition Winner’s Showcase and gain some helpful insights & best practices.

Intent to Participate Will Open: Fall 2026

Full Written Case Due: Early December 2026

Marketplace Simulations Competition:

This in-person competition will put your team at the helm of your own marketing department for an up-and-coming niche bicycle industry. You will compete against other schools, putting your skills to the test to become the industry leader!

Individual/Team Based: Team Based (3-5 members)

Spring Competitions Are In-Person at the International Collegiate Conference (ICC)

Design Lab Competition:

This in-person competition will take place at the AMA International Collegiate Conference (ICC). The Design Lab Marketing Competition will be a two-hour engaging session in which teams compete against each other as they design and create a creative marketing strategy plan.

Note: One (1) team per chapter.

Individual/Team Based: Team Based (3-5 members)

Open To: AMA Chapters/AMA Student Undergrad Members

Digital Marketing Competition:

This in-person competition will take place at the AMA International Collegiate Conference (ICC). The Digital Marketing Competition will challenge Teams to create digital marketing strategies based on a real-world challenge.

Note: One (1) team per chapter.

Perfect Pitch Competition:

This in-person competition is a 90-second interview in which you position yourself as being “right for the job.” The end goal is to move forward to the next step in the hiring process. Note: This competition allows chapters

to register multiple students and will be based on capacity.

Marketing Strategy Competition:

This in-person competition will challenge your team of two’s wit, speed and presentation skills. You will receive a marketing challenge brief 30 minutes before your presentation time, and you will use your knowledge and experience to present a case solution quickly.

Note: One (1) Team per chapter.

This in-person competition takes place at the AMA International Collegiate Conference (ICC). It is an ideal opportunity to compete one-on-one against other marketing students and test your ability to close a sale!

Note: Competition has limited slots and we allocate based on sign up timestamps. Competition allows chapters

to register multiple students, and will be based on capacity.
