A Wall Street tool that integrates news and data for over 129 countries and 250 stock exchanges. Offerings include securities pricing, news, data, and analysis on companies, equity/stock and debt markets, and economies.

Getting started

  • To login to the Computer: use NetID (same as email) and password
  • Click on the Green Bloomberg Icon- It may take time connecting, in case of failure to connect it will automatically retry- please be patient
  • When Bloomberg opens, press <Enter/GO> for the log-in screen.
  • Click the icon to Create a New Login.
  • Enter your personal information.
    • User your Georgetown University email address.
    • Enter your cell phone number to receive a validation code via SMS or phone call.
  • Enter the validation code to confirm account creation.
  • Remember your login information. (recommend you take a picture of your screen to remember username)

  • When DONE with session: Please CLOSE the software by moving the mouse to lower left to reveal the Bloomberg icon, then press the left button on your mouse, and select close.

  • Then LOG OFF the computer by using the Start button in the lower left of the left screen

Moving around

  • Command line, follow the blue rectangle
  • Green GO key, return/enter button
  • Sometimes things are clickable
  • No Back option, try hitting Menu button
  • Use the Page Down button to see other pages
