Trace inside of black sharpie lines for a closer fit. Number pieces and initial

  • Board is sandpapered down to wood
  • Ms. S makes mortar
  • Trowel the mortar all over the inside wood panel
  • Push tiles into the mortar (no more than 1/4th inch separation between tiles)- don’t pick tiles back up!!
  • Let it sit 24 hours
  • You have waited 24 hours for your mortar to set
  • Ms. S makes the grout
  • with your gloved fingers, push the grout into all of the spaces
  • Grab sponge and sponge off tiles and wood frame
  • Clean up table, grout bowl, and rewash hands
  • Let project sit out for 24 hours
