Connecting Online (CO) is a free online conference that has been taking place in the month of February since 2009. CO25 is the 16th anniversary of the free annual online event. The conference is scheduled to take place from February 21 - 23.
In 2012 and 2023, the presenters published books based on their presentations at Connecting Online 3-day online conference.
Nellie Deutsch (Ed.D) has taught EFL in K-12 and higher education for over 40 years and has applied CALL since 1992. Nellie’s a YouTuber (2006) and Moodle admin. She founded online professional development programs on Integrating Technology Professional Development on a Moodle Learning Management System in 2009. She provides free online courses for educators on how to integrate emerging technologies and AI into their classes. Her methods include learner autonomy, peer-based learning, and mindfulness. She’s faculty at IMT MSc program at the Democritus University of Thrace at a distance on Moodle. She teaches Immersive (VR/AR) Experiences and Technologies.

Ewa Kozłowska has a Masters in Mechanical-Medical Engineering, an inter-academic field of study run cooperatively by Gdańsk University of Technology and the Medical University of Gdańsk, Poland. She started her adventure with e-learning in May 2015 by volunteering in ERASMUS+ projects and taking part in Moodle MOOCs. She has a PhD in mechanical engineering and medical device designing with the use of computer collaboration tools by multidisciplinary specialists.
Dr. Hendrik Knoche, has a background in computer science with a minor in education from the University of Hamburg. His PhD in Human Centred Systems Design from University College London focused on how people prefer to consume videos on mobile devices.
His research in human computer interaction has focused on improving user experience and suited for users with specific needs - be it stroke patients, clinicians, or students.
He has been working with Moodle for 15 years and during the last 7 years led several initiatives at Aalborg University to improve the use of it for teaching at this university that hosts the UNESCO chair on problem based learning. Specifically, to use Moodle for more than a repository of slides.
