MobilityFirst--5G mobile network

Test Results

  • Testing on band 25 with bandwidth 5mhz

-- TCP: 6.30 Mbps upstream, 9.75 Mbps downstream;

-- UDP: 1.03 Mbps upstream, downstream fails to connect.

  • Testing on band 25 with bandwidth 10mhz

-- TCP: 614 Kbps upstream, 5.41 Mbps downstream;

-- UDP: 1.03 Mbps upstream, downstream fails to connect.

MobilityFirst--Multihoming Goals

Project Goal: To achieve multihoming using MobilityFirst

Current Progress - Multihoming

MF Network : Trying to implement Round-Robin algorithm for multihoming in the following network.

Last Week’s Issue Solved:

  • Before when we were doing the multihoming topology, we were actually not calling the multihoming file, which has the algorithm - this will be solved by making a small change to the application (mfping) file

MobilityFirst -- Multihoming Future work

  • Should be able to successfully implement Round-Robin algorithm
  • Should try to implement other algorithms like weighted Round-Robin and Replication for Multihoming and compare the results
  • Possibly work on client handoff between different nodes with delay between handoff
  • Possibly work on GUI for visitors
