Trade and Technical School

TRADE & TECHNICAL SCHOOL: A trade school (also known as a technical school) is a postsecondary educational institution designed to train students for a specific job in a skilled trade career. Most importantly, a trade school offers hands-on training to prepare students for actual work in their chosen field.

Apprenticeship

APPRENTICESHIP: Apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience, classroom instruction, and a portable, nationally-recognized credential.

Apprenticeship Students Must:

  • Work a minimum of 450 hours (20 + hours a week)
  • Complete one year of related classroom instruction
  • Provide own transportation to work-site
  • Have driver’s license when required by employer
