Kiel, April 29-30 (regional tournament hosted by FKK)

  • 24 team tournament, big enough to attract star teams (e.g., HaWu), small enough to get to play against almost everyone https://turniere.jugger.org/tournament.php?id=638
  • Kiel is a cute fishing town in Northern Germany, and FKK hosted the first jugger world championship (Catch the Fish, 2017)

Getting there: 5hr Flixbus from Copenhagen, ~45€ rt

Staying there: indoor space, BYO sleeping bags andair mattresses. There will be a grill, breakfast provided.

Intel: Nico hosted us last time we were in Kiel, and FKKrolled out royal treatment for the “international element”brought by the Copenhagen team. We got an AirBnB-style bottle of wine and box of chocolates in our room!

Lübeck, May 14 (🍰 training with Hanseatic Jugger)

  • we have a bet with this team that we will go to one of their trainings before they come to one of our trainings, and the winner gets CAKE
  • we want CAKE 🍰
  • this is a training, rather than a tournament (from 14-16 on Sunday)

Getting there: 4.5hr Flixbus from Copenhagen, ~45€ rt

Staying there: we’ll crash on juggers’ couches

Intel: Pit, who used to play with Simon in Freiburg,is one of the coolest and kindest jugger hosts we’vestayed with. We’ve also heard he makes great cake.

  • hello, it’s on a beach?

Getting there: 7.5hr train, ~100€ rt OR 4.5hr drive, ~200€ rt (assuming van for 7)

Intel: we haven’t been to the beach tournament before, but it’s legendary for being fun and laid back.

Spain, 20-23 July (World Club Championships)

  • ~90 team tournament, the biggest it gets in the jugger world. 100s of juggers!
  • international teams from Australia, the US, Ireland, Lithuania, Switzerland, France, …
  • top-ranked teams! Zonenkinder, Rigor Mortis, Fellowship… fight them! watch them! learn!
  • 3 full days of jugger!!! https://fejugger.es/wcc-2023

Getting there: fly Copenhagen<->Bilbao, plus bus/car, ~450€ rt

Staying there: they are still planning, but likely hostels/hotels (no camping)

Intel: the Basque country should be pretty ok temperature-wise, though it will be July. Valkyrie speaks Spanish, and plenty of Spanish juggers speak fluent English.
