Wimmer Gymnasium: A Legacy of Education and Music

  • The Wimmer Gymnasium is a private evangelical school founded in 1846 to provide educational opportunities for poor people living in a rural and isolated area.
  • Music is a key and fundamental subject starting from the first year (which corresponds to our first year of middle school). Every student plays at least one musical instrument, participates in choral and chamber music activities, and studies ear training, musical analysis, harmony, and the history of music.
