Start you letter with your own address. For this exercise we will be using the school address and only our first names as we will be adding this to our blogs. This is written on the right hand side of your letter.

Next you need to address the letter to who you are giving the letter to. We don’t know the addresses of all the people who helped at camp so for this task we will add the school address and the name of the person you are writing to. This goes on the left hand side of the paper.
Recipients Name (Mr, Mrs, Miss, Ms)

Always add the date to the letter that you are writing. This is the date that you have actually written the letter.
Today’s date is:

A greeting is the way in which you start the letter. In a formal letter we usually begin this with dear and the person’s name.
Dear (Mr, Mrs, Miss, Ms),
This is the main reason that you are writing the letter. Our letters are thank-you letters so we are thanking the person for their help.
Paragraph One: Thank the person for coming and helping...
Paragraph Two & Three : Share what you are thankful for. Share examples of highlights from the event and what this person has done to help you.
This is how you sign off the letter to the person you have written to.
Yours sincerely,
(Your name)
