  • Temperature
  • Type and amount of precipitation
  • Wind speed
  • Relative humidity
  • Atmospheric pressure
  • Presence of fog, mist, or cloud cover

But … will the weather stay the same tomorrow?

-maybe similar, but probably different … possibly very different

-a day-to-day change in the weather, however, is not an indication of a change in the climate ...

The usual pattern of weather in a region over a long period of time

  • Usually climate is defined based on 30 years of measured and averaged weather results
  • Climate data helps provide predictions of weather conditions with good accuracy
  • Weather describes atmospheric conditions over a short period of time … a day or a week
