Enhancing Student Success and Access
The Distance Education & Education Technology Committee Advisory Committee advises the Chancellor’s Office on the vision, policy, and planning to improve student success and access to distance education programs. It also focuses on the effective use of educational technology in all instructional modalities.
The committee plays a crucial role in shaping the future of distance education and educational technology. Its primary goal is to enhance student success and access to distance education programs by providing guidance and support in the development and implementation of effective policies and strategies.
The Role of the CCMS Advisory Committee
Locates and provides information for CCC Canvas users.
Supports users in utilizing the system more effectively and efficiently.
Enhances the teaching and learning experience within the CCC community,
Provides valuable input, guidance, and feedback to Instructure.
Ensures needs and interests of the CCC community are heard and addressed.
Helps to shape the development & improvement of Canvas.
Plays a vital role in keeping the CVC Consortium informed about development recommendations.
Ensures that Canvas continues to meet the evolving needs of CCC users. to maintain a strong partnership between the CCC community and Instructure.

Appointment of Members
Diversity in Representation
Members in the CVC are appointed by constituent organizations that represent faculty, staff, administrators, and students.
Appointed members represent the diversity of college constituencies and functions in the CCC. This ensures that different perspectives and voices are included in the decision-making process, leading to more inclusive and effective outcomes.
CCCO Universal Design (UDL) Task Force
Convened to collaborate on an implementation plan that is suitable for California Community Colleges that is suitable across the state in 2024-25
Intended to make curriculum and learning in the classroom and in service delivery more accessible to ensure that all student experience community college as a place where they belong
