When we reflect upon the present state of the Church throughout the world, so different from that what which was promised to her in prophesy, the doubt is apt to suggest itself to us whether it is right to rejoice when there is so much to mourn over and to fear. Is it right to keep holiday when the Spouse of Christ is in bondage ... ? We know what prophecy promises us: a holy Church set upon a hill; ... a glorious Church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). And alas! What do we see? We see the Kingdom of God to all appearances broken into fragments, authority in abeyance, separate portions in insurrection ... truth a matter not of faith but of controversy. ... We see error stalking abroad in the light of day, ... invading high places, while the maintainers of Christian truth are afraid to speak, lest it should offend those to whom it is a duty to defer. ... The world and the Church mixed together, and those who discern and mourn over all this looked upon with aversion, because they will not prophesy smooth things and speak peace where there is no peace.

More Socialist Thoughts

1) "Feire's attack against all forms of oppression, his call to link ideology critique with collective

action and the prophetic vision central to his politics are heavily indebted to the spirit and

ideological dynamics that have been informed and characterize the Theology of Liberation that

have emerged primarily from Latin America since the early 1970's." (underlines mine)

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Socialism is a Religion, pt 1

1) Origin Story: Everything we know about existence comes from what was written in the

past (history). Writing history is a uniquely human activity. As man made history, and since

everything we know about the universe comes from history, it follows that man made the

universe and everything in it. (note the non sequitur fallacy)

2) Man's Purpose: As man made the universe, and as most of the universe does not always

respond to man as man wishes, man's purpose is to “humanize” the universe.

--Consider Genesis 1:28, where God commands man to dominate the world and

command all the animals

3) Axiology (theory on where value comes from): Value comes from productivity coming

from personal imagination

--animals do "activity," because there is no imagination involved

--slaves do “labor,” because it is the imagination of someone else

--empowered people do “work,” because it is of their own imagine

--true value comes from work, therefore labor is the oppression of value

15 of 47

15

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Socialism is a Religion, pt 2

4) Theodicy (the cause of evil and the ultimate triumph of good over evil):

--once, there was no evil in the world as man worked in wonderful gardens throughout

the world

--at some point, one man imagined having another man perform an activity for him in

exchange for payment, and thus labor came to be

--labor created oppression and, as a result, gardens became farms

--oppression created contradictions, so man created traditions, cultures, religions and

other institutions (God the Son) to manage the contradictions

--eventually, the contradictions that come from labor will be resolved (through the Holy

Spirit) and mankind will once again return to a worldwide garden

5) Soteriology (a theory of salvation):

--As man resolves one contradiction after another, eventually the final contradiction will

be removed.

--At this point, history will end and man will be free from all oppression

Note that true socialists view socialism as a contradiction -- the final contradiction will be

socialism itself. Communism will replace the final contradiction, which is socialism.

"then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has

destroyed every sovereignty and every authority and power."

--1 Corinthians 15:24.

16 of 47

16

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Socialism is a Religion, pt 3

6) Eschatology (theory on the end of history):

--Hegel and Marx both defined history as the process of thesis and antithesis forming a

synthesis, which in turn becomes a new thesis

--when the final synthesis is reached, the process will finally end

7) Gnosticology (the study of knowledge):

--most religions do not include gnosticology; Judaism, Christianity and Hinduism are the

only ones of importance before the Age of Enlightenment

--several philosophies, however, have achieved near religious status (such as Buddhism,

Confucianism and Taoism)

--for a socialist, Gnosticology is simple -- socialism is truth, Marxism is good, everything

else is against this truth and therefore evil

--for a socialist, only those who understand Marxism can grasp true knowledge; everyone

else is caught up in a false ideology

8) Deity:

--an equivocal word, I define a deity as anything that is of supreme importance

--the devotion, respect, and pathos that the socialist has for “man perfected” is worthy of

any "proper" god known to man

--there is no doubt that the typical socialist is more devoted to this “god” than most

Christians are to Jehovah

Other Critical Similarities, pt 1

Prayer compared to Alchemy:

--Both involve a mystical element that will do something man cannot do on own

--Prayer, as practiced by most Christians, is strictly passive (Genie in a Bottle)

--Socialism demand action (praxis)

Prophecy compared to Enlightenment:

--Prophets speak on behalf of God

--Enlightened speak on behalf of the Universe

Humanism compared to Christian Social Justice:

--Both recognize the basic human right of being fairly treated

--Christianity recognizes that everyone is equal in dignity, but different as individuals

--Socialists believe everyone is identical

Holy Trinity:

--Christians believe God the Father is the architect of all reality

--Socialists believe God the Father is mankind

--Christians believe God the Son reconciles man to God

--Socialists believe ones culture is God the Son

--Both believe God the Holy Spirit is the force of change

18 of 47

18

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Other Critical Similarities, part 2

Unforgivable Sin:

--Both believe the Holy Spirit is the force of change

--(Most) Christians believe that denying the loving Grace of the Holy Spirit is unforgivable

--Socialists believe denying the irresistible changes the Holy Spirit is unforgivable

Garden of Eden:

--Christians believe mankind rejected the garden God gave them

--Socialists believe oppressors turned the garden into farms

Kindness:

--Socialists believe kindness is the only proper response a repentant oppressor can do

--Christians believe kindness is a form of forgiveness and mercy (Luke 6:35); and a gift

of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22)

Bible:

--Both view the Christian Bible as an invaluable document in pursuing their goals

--Christians believe it is a divinely inspired document

--Socialists believe it is the ultimate culmination of oppressive doctrine

--Many Christians take the Bible for granted, and only have superficial understanding

--Socialists look to the Bible as everything they need to know to bring society down

"By the testimony of performance, and in my opinion, the word of honor of the Soviet government is as

safe as the Bible." Not content with this, Davies announced that Communism "is protecting the Christian

world of free men," and urged all Christians "by the faith you found at your mother's knee, in the name

of the faith you have found in temples of worship," to embrace the Soviet Union.

--Joseph P. Davies, former Ambassador to the Soviet Union, told a Chicago audience

in February, 1942, taken from Left of Liberal pg 25

"I know some sentimental clergymen at a distance like to compare the hippies with St. Francis, or even

see them as little Jesuses, walking about disheveled and aimless with their not so virgin Mary's.

This is a monstrous distortion of the facts."

--John Leo, New York Times, April 9, 1968 (taken from Left of Liberal, pg 255)

Rabbi Arthur Herzberg noted that "the nervous scurrying for 'relevance' by politically active clergymen

may represent the sickness, not the health, of American religion." Religion as an ongoing force, he said,

cannot be saved by "making it relevant."

--Left of Liberal, pg 256

Some Interesting Quotes from the Past

20 of 47

20

Socialism is a deliberately fabricated religion that seeks to supplant Christianity by replacing the church

with corrupted Christian ideas.

The layman is vulnerable to socialist ideology because it looks very much like what is said at church.

This is further compounded by Clergy either being extremely “hands off” on real world social justice

problems, or will freely collaborate with socialists without establishing safegaurds for their congregation.

In either case, most clergy would rather give simplified and uncontroversial of Biblical teachings that to

address the sickness of socialism.

To make matters worse, many of the churches who actually are trying to do something without having

to collaborate with the Devil look more like the socialists they are opposing than anything found in the

New Testament. I assure you, Satan does not mind his work being done in the name of Jesus.

Socialists, however, are very active in the world that the congregation lives in, appearing to do what the

Bible says needs to be don. In other words, socialists are doing what churches no longer seem to be

willing or capable of doing: give the congregation a means of understanding the world and how to integrate

themselves into the world with this understanding.

I'm not alone in this belief. Dr. Jordan Peterson embarrassed Bishop Barron and Jonathan

Pageau when they asked how Peterson was able to get people interested in the Bible

(November 24, 2021).

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937)

Italian Revolutionary, his works are collected in a three volume set called

Prison Notebooks

Like many socialists before him, he wondered why Marxist theories

constantly failed so miserably

--according to Marx, Capitalistic Nations should have been first

to become Socialist, but it was Russia and other feudal

states that were

--Gramsci admitted that Capitalism is superior to Socialism in taking care of the

oppressed, but benevolent oppression is still oppression

Concluded that “Western Culture” bound the oppressed to the oppressors (traditions are the

oppressive property)

“Socialism is precisely the religion that must overwhelm Christianity. … In the new order, Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches, and the media by transforming the consciousness of society.” (Prison Notebooks)

He came up with 5 such traditions: law, history, education, family and religion

Christianity was to destroy the other four traditions before it destroyed itself

Religion: Convince Christians that Socialist humanism was compatible with Christian Social Justice

"There is the outspoken Marxism of many worker priests and progressive Catholics,

Herbert Marcuse (1898-1979)

College Professor at University of California at Berkeley

--instrumental in the student revolt there and in other colleges nationwide

--enjoyed the “free love” of his students

--concluded that the typical worker would prefer sex to work

Felt betrayed by the working class of Americans

--when a worker has a good home, good car, TV, and some time to spend

with family, he is no longer interested in destroying the culture

--even more so than Gramsci, Marcuse realized Capitalism was

superior to anything Socialism could produce as far as meeting the

needs and wants of the oppressed

Socialist morale was near collapsing when Nikita Kerushev announced all of Stalin's crimes against humanity

When the US left Viet Nam, the moral of the Socialist movement in our country was annihilated

--the one and only moral argument they could play against the US was removed

--Marcuse told his followers to get into education

"I have never suggested or supported destroying the established Universities ... we do not have to think of replacing them with new institutions. But this is one of the very rare cases in which I think you can achieve what you want to achieve within the existing institutions."

Herbert Marcuse Plan of Action

Marcuse advocated a minimalist lifestyle to discourage the “evils” of

modern products

--appeals to the Christian idea of moderating one's life

--appeals to radical Environmentalists who think mankind

is responsible for all the world's woes

Radicalizing Ghettos and Colleges

--enlist the poorest of the nation's poor

--make students, like Marx, angry at the world for not giving them what they believe their

education should give them

Perpetual Revolt

--Marcuse decided a single move to topple the US was not practical

--advocated for a non-stop supply of mini-revolts across the country (“death by a

thousand cuts”)

--this would weaken the nation's resolve out of weariness

World Crisis

--a massive, world wide crisis was needed to cause the weakened nation to finally collapse

World Crisis

--Covid-19

In summary of Marcuse, when Covid-19 hit in 2020, the socialists had 50 years of preparing for such a world crisis, were well entrenched in our educational system, had the full sympathy of the Church, and were highly motivated by the idea that “man perfected” was finally coming true.

Mao Zedong (spelling varies) (1893-1976)

Socialist revolutionary and first president of Communist China

His revolution was hailed by many as the idea revolution

--Socialists began to believe that world wide Socialism was now achievable

in their lifetimes

--Marcuse and Paulo Freire included in this number

Unlike other revolutionaries, which killed the oppressors, Mao tried to win them

over -- the “Red Guard”

The “Hans” would be the ruling class of China, but 92% of Chinese are Han

--killing them all was an impossibility

--he encouraged Hans to look for ways they were “oppressed,” and therefor be part of the oppressed

instead of being oppressors

--Socialists no longer have to come up with the oppressive property and teach the oppressed, those

they sought to overthrow came up with their own properties

Training the Red Guard took place in “education centers”

--“facilitators” would ask questions of “learners,” intending to know what their concerns were

--learners were encouraged to be upset that the current regime was not meeting these concerns --

making them radicals

--those who could not be radicalized were killed, those that could were released

--when the revolution was over, the Red Guard was rounded up and executed

Paulo Freire (1921-1997)

Philosopher in Brazil, Catholic layman as well

Had correspondence with Marcuse

While Marcuse looked at Chinese Revolution as a means to inspire his

followers, Freire was interested in how Mao formed the Red Guard

--wrote a series of books on how educators could mimic Mao's

in the classroom

--Pedagogy of the Oppressed was first and most influential of these books, and is 3rd most

quoted book in Humanities and Social Sciences

--The Politics of Education has a special place in US educational history

Was friends with Dom (later archbishop) Hélder Pessoa Câmara

--both were Liberal Theologians (which is a heresy according to Catholic Doctrine)

--Archbishop Hélder Pessoa Câmara was friends with Karl Schwab and Henry Giroux

--Had tremendous influence over Father Jorge Mario Bergoglio (later Pope Francis)

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Paulo Freire His Genius

To restate Mao's strategy in typical Hegelian trinity:

--identify a fear or anxiety in a learner and blame an oppressor for it

--tell learner to do something to stop this aggression

--when this inevitably fails, tell learner that this proves oppression is

even deeper than thought

Freire took this technique and made it “family friendly” instead of needing

concentration camps:

--Facilitator creates an environment where no criticism of a learner is allowed

--Learners are encouraged to indulge in their fantasies no matter how outrageous

--When others outside the learning center reject these fantasies, tell the learners that this

is because of oppression

One is not “taught” to become a Red Guard, one is encouraged to become one by their own free

will and imagination

If successful, one develops one's own unique version of Socialism

--this fits Marcuse's idea that culture has to be overwhelmed by countless mini-revolutions

32 of 47

32

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Paulo Freire Education pt 1

Education can take 1 of 2 forms: --by rote or what I call “self-enlightenment”

Education by rote is oppressive

--no creativity in learning by rote, therefore it is “work” and not “labor”

--some will do better than others, therefore this type of education

creates an oppressive “property”

--those who learn by rote will either enable oppressors to exist, or may

become oppressors themselves

Pedophilia

--while Freire was not concerned about sexual relations, this appealed to the sex-crazed

students of Marcuse when Freire's works made it to the US

--age is a property that adults use to oppress children

--changed “teachers” to “facilitators” and “students” to “learners”

--Freire did believe that the only difference between learners and facilitators was that

facilitators were more self-aware (i.e., enlightened) than learners

--the job of the facilitator was to assist the learner in the journey to self-awareness

"Teaching serves two purposes: indoctrinate through memorization, or an effort to wake up human consciousness. Skill sets are oppressive, creating radicals is liberating."

--Paulo Freire, The Politics of Education

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Paulo Freire Education pt 2

Teaching Peasants

--show a picture of a farm

--ask them what a farm means to them

--will likely get answers like “hot,” “backbreaking,” “tiring,” etc

--change focus from what a farm actually is to how unpleasant it is

--learners did not learn how to write or appreciate their role in society

--learners do learn how to be resentful of their lot in life

Quality of Education

--what a learner “knows” is irrelevant, as long as he discovered it by himself

--as “knowledge” is a property, no learner must have a better knowledge than another

--therefore, no learner must have more knowledge than another (i.e., educate to the

least capable children, not to the most capable or even to the average)

Mother of Wokism

Friends with late Jim Jones (of the Jonestown Kool-Aide Massacre fame)

Met with President Biden

She plagiarized Freire and other socialists shamelessly

A black lesbian, she was radicalized into transforming society

--believed that, as black woman, the law did not guarantee her a job

--even if a law was passed to guarantee a black woman a job, she was a lesbian, and

therefore could still be discriminated against

--promotes legislation that (ultimately) means anyone can be hired for any job

Her greatest work, the The Combahe River Collective Statement, was a collaborative effort

--Named after the only US military operation led by a civilian (Harriet Tubman)

--Promoted the idea of “intersectionability,” which is the foundation of wokism

--Singer believes bestiality is perfectly acceptable, as long as

neither human or animal is harmed

--Singer believes children can be “aborted” as much as 4 weeks

after birth

--a professor friend of mine (philosophy) assures me that Singer's ideas are extremely

popular in colleges, to the point he considers Singer to be the single greatest threat in

academics today

Singer's Article, “The Singer Solution to World Poverty”

--often taught along with “Lifeboat Ethics: the Case Against Helping World Poverty” by

Garrett Hardin as a means to compare two ethical approaches

--both articles are often made available as a package, including a dowloadable PDF at

https://res.cloudinary.com/segl/image/upload/v1634740837/Singer-Solution-to-World-Poverty-Lifeboat-Ethics_bvygn3.pdf

--my full critique of these two approaches is the handouts given at this meeting, and can

be found in downloadable PDF at https://onehundredeightynine.com/articles/Singer%20and%20Hardin.html

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Specific Tactics - Make “Kindness” the Greatest Commandment

1) Ignore what Jesus said about the 1st and 2nd greatest commandments

2) Ignore the Ten Commandments as given through Moses

3) Ignore the “Golden Rule”

4) Corrupt the Seven Virtues

5) Ignore the fact that Kindness is only one of many “Fruits of the Spirit” (Galatians 5:22-23)

5) Equate “kindness” with “tolerance” instead of “mercy”

--Ephesians 4:32

--Luke 6:35-36

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Specific Tactics - Make “Kindness” the Greatest Commandment

Examples

1) Bible Study Group

--minister studies and prepares a lesson

--someone in the group says, “All we need to know is that

Jesus saves”

--rather than ask this person to go to a more appropriate bible

lesson, this person is invited to come back again

--note how Friere's goal of teaching the least capable and ignoring the more capable is

being fulfilled

2) someone takes the Lord's Name (or other inappropriate remark), ignore it out of fear of

making them feel bad.

--one often hides behind the “do not judge” argument to justify their kindness here

--“Better is an open rebuke than a love that remains hidden.” (Proverbs 27:6)

--“If your brother sins, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone.” (Matthew 18:15)

--“Brothers, even if a person is caught in some transgression, you who are spiritual should

correct that one in a gentle spirit” (Galatians 6:1)

3) many “pro-life” groups will not support laws that would limit or abolish abortion on grounds

the woman will go to jail (i.e., it would be unkind to the woman)

4) excuse poor performance of children in Religious Education

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Specific Tactics - Aufhaben and Hegelian Dialectic the Bible's Contradictions

1) Find a scripture that appeals to one's fancy

2) Ignore any contradiction one comes across later

3) Rather than listen to others point of view, tell the interlocutor that

they are inventing a “man made tradition”

Sadly, this is something that Christians taught Atheists how to do

--it predates Hegel, so it is not “socialist” by my definition

--although it is not socialist, it allows socialists unhindered access to Christians

Although the Aufhaben is an excellent way to discuss the contradictions in the Bible, remember

that there are two types of Aufhaben

--good Aufhaben is an honest attempt to understand why two things appear different, yet

are obviously connected in some way

--bad Aufhaben is used to defend one's cognitive dissonance

--when bad Aufhaben is used to defend one's views of the Bible, one is actually saying one

knows better than God how to explain things

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Specific Tactics - Aufhaben and Hegelian Dialectic the Bible's Contradictions

Example

It is by faith alone we are saved.

(thesis)

But James 2:24 says, “See how a person is

justified by works and not by faith alone.”

(anti-thesis)

James is part of the antilegomana,

we don't have to listen to him

(synthesis/thesis)

But James is in the Bible,

is the Bible wrong

(anti-thesis)

As part of the antilogomana,

it should not be there

(synthesis/thesis)

So, you are saying the Bible

is not true?

(anti-thesis)

The Bible itself is true, but the

parts man inserted in it are not

(synthesis)

Note how the Sola Fiedeist

is basically claiming he

knows God's intentions

better than anyone who

disagrees with him

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Specific Tactics - Know the Bible Better Than Christians

Christians seem to read the Bible for the sole purpose of feeling good about themselves and their

preconceived ideas

--consider the Sola Fide example

Atheists read the Bible to find contradictions so they can prove to themselves there is no God

--“The Bible Says What!?” and “Dogma Debate” are good examples

--I was interviewed by David C. Smalley before he called his show “Dogma Debate”

True Socialists read the Bible because they realize that the culture they wish to destroy was

built on the Bible

--take away the foundation, and the whole structure above it collapses (basic engineering

and common sense)

Socialism: How It Infiltrated the Church

Specific Tactics - Know the Bible Better Than Christians

Examples

1) Genesis Chapter 3: Socialist sees that discipline must come before knowledge

--destroy discipline in the family and schools

--encourage massive state funding of questionable scientific inquiry

Result: people become uncivilized while we build things we can no longer control

2) Socialist sees that major milestones of a Hebrew's life were celebrated, many involving blood sacrifice

--call celebrations like New Year, Christmas, and birthdays “pagan rituals”

--call animal sacrifice “unkind” to animals and barbaric

--don't let children learn the hard way (it's unkind), coddle them until the day you die

Result: we are now on our second generation of citizens whose level of responsibility is

that of a 5 year old

3) Socialist reads, “No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other.” (Matthew 6:24)

--convince people can have it all, and have it quickly

--convince people they do not have to compromise when working towards a common goal

Result: pro-lifers savagely attack other pro-life efforts to curb or stop abortion, because

they actually value somethings more than saving lives
