Arrival Procedures

  • Once you arrive at PVMS, you have the option to visit the cafeteria for a grab and go breakfast. You will eat breakfast in your first period class, unless it is a science class. All students in science must eat in the cafeteria.

  • Students are expected to follow social distancing guidelines. Remain 6 feet apart at all times; use the signs and tape marks in the hallway as a guide.

  • Masks are required at all times.

  • Students must be in Period 1 by 8:00 am for attendance purposes.

Personal Technology Device

MS students will not use personal technology devices during non-instructional time. This includes, but is not limited to

  • transitions between classes
  • lunch
  • recess
  • in bathrooms
  • during special events.

Hallway Procedures

Hallways

  • During hallway transitions, students will follow predetermined traffic flows in hallways. Remain on the correct side of the hallway.
  • If there are students in front or behind you in the hall, remain 6 feet apart; keep hands to self at all times.

Bathroom Procedures

Bathroom

  • Students must receive a yellow paper pass to leave the room.
  • Sign in and out from the restroom in the designated restroom log.
  • There are only 2 students allowed in the bathroom at a time; be sure to wash hands after using the restroom.
  • If there are more than 2 students in the bathroom, please wait your turn outside in the hallway while keeping your distance.
  • Wash your hands!

Water fountain use

  • Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school.
  • Students may only use the water fountain to fill personal water bottles.

Lunch and Recess

  • Masks must be worn at all times unless actively eating and/or drinking.

  • Students must
    • wash hands and/or use hand sanitizer before, during, and after recess.
    • maintain social distancing of 6 ft. or more in lunch line and recess.

  • Students may not engage in contact activities:
    • no two-hand touch football
    • only 2 students allowed per basketball hoop
    • remain 6 feet apart
    • The Gaga pit is for Gaga only; no more �than 5 students at a time using the Gaga ball

Dismissal Procedures

  • Teachers will dismiss students in a predetermined manner to maintain social distancing guidelines. All Period 4 teachers will identify which exit door to use; this will help the flow of traffic and ensure proper social distancing.

  • Students must remain in their seats until the assigned dismissal announcement.

  • When walking in the hallway at any time, remain 6 feet apart from each other and keep hands to self.
