PS 20 PTA Mission

The PS 20 PTA partners with the school so that our children can enjoy a safe and healthy learning environment. The PTA is committed to providing stability, transparency, sincerity, and community each and every year. This school year, the PTA will be focused on four core needs:

  • Ensuring continuity of PS20's flagship initiatives: Mosaic, Green Arts, School Aides; and Community Support
  • Creating fun, enriching activities for families including Movie Night, Octoberfest, and the Brotherhood Dinner
  • Supporting our teachers and the staff through appreciation events and supplementing the cost of classroom materials and supplies
  • Supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and social justice within the PS 20 community.

There are many ways to get involved and support PS20!

PTA donors, committees and volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the school and engaging our amazing community.

  • Join a Committee on Konstella
  • Volunteer - class leads, recess and lunch helpers, outdoor table setup, and more
  • Create! - Mosaic, Rainbow Club, and the Community Closet were all started by parents like you!
  • Donate - Your support helps fund school supplies, School Assistants, gardening and art, supplies, and so much more

PTA Budget Report

8 of 37

PTA 24-25 Budget Overview

The PTA Board’s goal is to create a budget that allows the PTA to deliver on critical spending items, while also giving maximal flexibility.

  • Mosaic continues to be one of the primary drivers of PTA revenue, offsetting short-falls in direct donation fundraising.
    • Emphasis on leveraging Mosaic revenue towards PTA-funded school support
  • In addition to school operational support, focus on spending that galvanizes parent and committee engagement
  • Reserve funds will continue to allow us to make more meaningful investments throughout the year - upgrades, initiatives, operations, and more.
