2024 Call: Volunteer Development Lead

2 of 3

Call for a Founding Development Volunteer!

The New York Climate Film Festival (CFF) is looking for a development volunteer to help us prepare for our inaugural annual festival and beyond! Our festival will take place between September 20-22, 2024, coinciding with the opening weekend of Climate Week NYC. We are proud to be working with The Guardian as our Presenting Media Partner, and are excited to showcase over 40 films, workshops, panels, and more during our first-ever multi-day festival.

As a 100% volunteer-run, nonprofit organization, our volunteers are an integral part of the festival’s creative founding team. You’d be joining a diverse, warm, and impact-oriented team of 13 individuals who believe in the power of motion pictures to inspire action toward a better world. We ask that core CFF volunteers commit to an average of 5 hours of engagement per week, plus a weekly, 1-hour long virtual group meeting. For this role, we are looking for individuals who have an interest and background in the following:

  • Grant writing
  • Sponsored events and partner management
  • Budgeting

If you’re interested in applying for the Development Lead position, please send your resume and a brief cover letter to info@climatefilmfest.com. Applicants based in the NYC area+ are preferred, although consideration will be given to individuals based in other locations.
