  • We worked the first of many Floyd County Library Book Sales.
  • We put together Thank You Bags for first responders.
  • We had Melissa Eldridge come to speak about Polio. And we started a Purple Pinkies for Polio poster to display at our Polio Fundraising Table.

We delivered our goody bags to the Highlander Fire Protection District. We also gave a bag and card to the SRO at FC and Prosser.

October

  • We worked another Library Book Sale
  • We held a Purple Pinkie table at lunch to raise money and awareness for vaccines. We raised $137.
  • We made dog toys for the animal shelter.
  • We worked a table at our FC Haunt the Halls
  • We sent one member to RYLA.

November

  • In November we celebrated Veterans Day by making a display of red poppies with the names of Veterans written on them.
  • Some members helped with the Blessings in a Backpack fundraising event.
  • We had a speaker from Hope Southern Indiana and collected canned goods to support them.
  • Some of our officers attended the Rotary Toast dinner.

December

  • We made cards for Senior Citizens.
  • We also helped the Salvation Army with Angel Tree and Bell Ringing.
  • We also had members help with Georgetown Elementary’s Santa Workshop.
  • And since our last meeting was cancelled due to snow we made virtual cards to send to Children’s Hospitals

January

  • In January, we partnered with a local church to make “plarn” which is used to make plastic mats for the homeless.
  • We had another meeting cancelled for snow so members made valentines on their own to be delivered to a nursing home.

February

  • We celebrated Mardi Gras and Mrs. Whaley brought in king cakes for the club.
  • We hosted a booth at the incoming 8th grade activity night.
  • We had members talk about RYLA and the Rotary Speech Contest

  • We helped the FC Marching Band get rid of gently used shoes to benefit WaterStep
  • We made Faculty and Staff Appreciation signs and hung them around the school.

  • We held elections and have 4 new officers.
  • We collected money for Heifer International. We raised $81.
  • We re-shared a video from IU Rotaract President John Miller.
  • We had members make cards and visit a nursing home.
  • Members helped with FC Raise Green for Norton Children’s Hospital

  • We handed out certificates to the club members and celebrated our final meeting with a cake provided by Mrs. Whaley.
  • Senior members in good standing will pick up graduation stoles next month to wear for graduation.
