We need to stop and think before we eat foods with a lot of sugar, fat, and salt. But anytime foods have all of the nutrients we need to grow, play, and learn.

Aim for five pieces of fruit and vegetables each day.

But don’t forget, have a little bit of everything on your plate for your meal: Fruits, Vegetables, Meat and Beans, Milk and Dairy, and Grains.

Do you know when you’re hungry and when you’re not?

While you eat, ask yourself, “I ate [whatever you ate], how do I feel now?”�Have a bite and notice if you are still hungry.

If you are already full, you can say “I feel just right!”

Moving quickly gets your heart pumping, and all that pumping makes your heart stronger. When your heart is strong, it is easier to clean your entire system — your blood, your muscles, and your bones. �If you have 60 minutes of physical activity every day, you and your body will be happy and strong!

Being mindful keeps us relaxed and focused!

When you pause and focus their attention on the present, you are aware of what your senses tell you. This is called “mindfulness”.

When you are mindful, it helps your brain to have good memory and positive feelings, and to be less nervous and stressed.
