It is our school’s way of developing and fostering a meaningful connection between the school and the community it serves.

School Parent and Family Engagement Plan

What is it?

It is our plan for how we will partner with and engage parents to support the academic success of our students, and includes our planned activities and communications with parents and families.

Our 2023-2024 plan is available on our school’s website.

School-Parent-Student Compact

What is it?

It is an agreement between teachers, parents and students about how we will work together to support student academic success. We focus on improving reading comprehension in all grades.

Our 2023-2024 plan is available on our school’s website.

2. How well did the school, parents, and students fulfill their responsibilities?
3. What could all the groups do to get better?

Training for Staff to work with Parents and Families

What is it?

This is how we train our staff in four key areas:

• The value and usefulness of parental contributions
• Reaching out, communicating, and working with parents as equal partners
• How to implement and coordinate parenting programs
• Building ties between parents and school

Title I-A Budget for Parent and Family Engagement

What is it?

It is the federal funding we receive from our Title I-A grant that supports parent and family engagement programs at our school.

For 2022-2023, our Parent and Family Engagement funds were used for these programs:

• Purchase supplies for parent and family engagement events
• Family Bingo Night, provide books and educational resources at all school events.
• Support a parent resource area located in our media center.
• Provide a school parent engagement liaison
