About CPM

CPM: College Preparatory Mathematics
The program focuses around collaborative learning by investigating, discussing and discovering the different math concepts.
The program is designed for group work. 99% of the time in our classroom we work with our team.
Students will be assessed in different forms including Team and Individual tests as well as End of Unit projects/Performance Tasks.

Attendance/Homework

Attendance is very important. Every lesson is a prerequisite for the next one.

If a student is absent they are expected to complete the missed lesson on their own before they come to class.

Homework is assigned daily and is due the next day unless otherwise noted.

Every assignment will be posted in our Google Classroom for those students who might be absent.

Submitting & Make-up Work

Homework will be assigned and checked dayly.
Students are provided with the answers to the problems and they correct their own work.
My classroom will always be open during nutrition and lunch for those students who would want to complete their homework if they are not able to complete it at home.
Students are allowed to use the CPM homework help but they must show all the work to receive credit.

Submitting & Make-up Work

Students will have a homework assignment sheet for every chapter. They are responsible for it. They will turn in at the end of chapter to receive credit for their homework.

You can ask to see it at any time to get a glimpse of how they are doing in terms of homework.

Grade will not be imputed into gradebook until assignment sheet is signed by parents.

Office Hours/Homework Club

Office Hours will occur once a week on Tuesdays from 3:00 to 3:30
Homework Club will be every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 to 3:50 and Friday from 3:00 to 3:30
Everyone is welcome to join
Some students will be recommended
We will complete the homework together. Whatever we are able to do together will be all they are required to do.
