Day 2: Monday 13/04 morningArsène/Titouan/Samy/Jérémie/Enzo

Honestly, the best part was the breakfast on the top deck. The weather was so good and we had this crazy view of the sea while eating. It was super chill to just sit there with the sun and the wind, definitely the best way to start the day before doing anything else.

This morning we took the bus to Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom. A city with a rich history because of the Troubles. Traumatic events which leave their mark, such as walls that show the division and a lot of memorials or art pieces made to convey peace. So with three fantastic guides, we visited this very special city and it was truly a unique experience which was essential to our understanding of Ireland's history.

This Wednesday afternoon, we visited the Titanic Museum in Belfast. This activity was very interesting and informative because it immersed us in the complete world of the Titanic, from its creation to the tragic day of the disaster and how it happened. The families took us to the meeting point near the beach at 8 am, and we set off, feeling a bit wistful, on a four-hour bus ride to the port of Cork. We felt a mix of sadness which you can see on Suzi’s face because this trip had allowed us to meet new people. But we also felt relief because we were going to be reunited with our families. Then, at noon, we were able to eat the meals prepared by our host families before boarding the Brittany Ferries ferry.
