Before Exam Day

Get a good night sleep and eat a good breakfast the day of the exam.

Know where on campus you will be testing. Refer to the calendar on the previous slide if needed. Teachers will also have a list of their students testing locations.

If your test is in paper or hybrid practice writing with pencil and pen. Your hand needs the practice of writing for an extended period of time.

For hybrid and digital exams, make sure to charge your chromebook, practice logging into Bluebook (Remember your login and password! It will not be saved on Bluebook). Bring your charger. Loaner must be requested prior to the exam (Weeks ahead), students without a chromebook will not be admitted to the exam room.

On Exam Day

Morning exams: Arrive to testing room by 7:30am. No students will be admitted after testing starts.

Afternoon exams: Students can get an early lunch in the cafeteria at 11:00am or bring lunch to eat before the exam time. Arrive to the testing room by 11:30. No students will be admitted after testing starts.

Student ID or Driver’s license, passport, or other ID to prove you are you.

Bring snacks. Dry snacks are preferred for your break times (Sandwich, granola bars, cookies). Chips are discouraged because they leave residue on your fingers.

Bring water (avoid caffeine and energy drinks, they might make your anxious).

You will be sitting for long periods of time. Get comfortable and be patient.

On Exam Day cont.

No cell phones, smart watches, or other electronic devices allowed in the testing room. Students may bring a single function watch.

Your cell phone will be collected once you enter the testing room and will be returned to you when testing concludes. Please power off your phone before it’s collected. Tell your family and friends so they know you will not be answering.

All backpacks will be placed on the side of students’ desk or designated area. Take all snacks/water out and place it on the bottom/side of your desk. You will not be allowed to go into your backpacks until testing has ended and you have been dismissed.

Pencils and pens will be provided.

On Exam Day cont.

The exam is timed and split by sections. For paper exams, all students will start at the same time, move to the next section of the exam at the same and end the exam at the same time. If you are finished early, you may not be dismissed or access your electronic devices. All students will be dismissed at the same time.

For hybrid/digital exams. If your break is different from others, please respect the space and quietly step outside. When you finish the exam, please wait quietly and patiently until you are dismissed.

Seniors, in the instructions, you will have the opportunity to send your scores to universities. Think about which ones before exam day.

For afternoon exams, tell your family you will be dismissed later than usual. Expect between 4:00pm and 4:30pm.

Exam Format

Some exams have gone fully digital or hybrid

All students must bring their District-issued Chromebooks/chargers and have the updated version of Bluebook installed. Practice logging onto bluebook. Remember your username and password, bluebook will not remember your login information on exam day!

AP Spanish, all students must bring their District-issued Chromebooks/chargers and have the updated version of Digital Audio Submission (DAS) installed.

Loaners must be requested prior to the exam (weeks ahead), students without a Chromebook will not be admitted to the exam room.

Other Information

Remember it is important to show up for your exam. Failure to attend will result in a $50 no-show fee. Seniors, if you receive this fee, you will need to clear it before graduation.

If you are ill, have a personal emergency, or religious holiday, request a late exam. This must be submitted the same day as the missed exam. Only those approved by the District AP Coordinator can late test.
