The Prediction
Before reading any text we should first try to make predictions about what we are going to read.
This is because it helps us predict what might happen, what kind of words the author might use, and it makes us think about things we already know! This all really helps us to understand a text better.
What did I think the text was going to be about? | What was the the text was actually about? | What did I predict right/wrong? |

The Characters
Every good story has to have interesting characters.
Choose two characters from your story. Come up with 5 adjectives for each character to describe how they act (personality), and what they look like (appearance).
Be specific with your word choices.

The Challenge
Every interesting story will have a challenge a character has to overcome.
It could be a mental challenge, or a physical one. Really obvious to see, or tricky to understand, but this challenge is what makes stories so interesting.
Describe the challenge, and tell us how the character/s overcame it!

The Questions
Every text should make us curious about something new about the world. We can follow that curiosity by asking questions. Come up with 3 open-ended questions that you could ask the teacher, or your classmates, or to Google to help you learn more about the world.
