Main Focus/Problems:

  • Whole Project:
    • The focus of the team this semester includes continued expansion of the application, along with revising and/or debugging crucial aspects of the application which has been developed previously. This includes the addition of a reports page and settings, along with expansions into the forums.
  • Project Parts:
    • Settings - Taking the MVP of Settings designed previously and implementing it into the final product
      • Transition Settings from HTML to React and JavaScript
      • Include a Night Mode theme, to be applied to the entire application
      • Include a password reset and/or email change functionality
    • Game Activities - Debugging and expansion on the modal which appears when any activity is finished
      • This semester focused on debugging the application’s data persistent and retrieval of data upon activity completion.
      • Expanded upon the completion modal to include the 10 most recent scores for a particular activity & date it occurred
      • Worked on database consistency when referencing database.
    • Forum - Adding the forum post association and reply functionality
      • Expanded forum functionality to delete posts and reply to existing posts
      • Included information on who created the post and time of creation.
    • Mobile UI - Design application around ease of view between different devices:
      • Allow the user to access the auditory trainings on their mobile device with a seamless look on all of the features and games
      • Worked on the responsiveness of the website on various screen sizes
    • Reports Page - This feature was not implemented yet into the application. The main ideas behind the reports page include:
      • The ability for the user to view a history of their scores from completing the activities
      • Allow users to export the report as a csv file and share their progress with their doctor(s)/primary care
      • Allow users to or share their scores and progress with others in their social community through the social media buttons

Summary:

  • The Auditory Training App allowed the team to learn and continuously produce new features that would benefit users with the consent of the product owner. Working with the product owner gave insight on not only the design but the ability to communicate amongst each other. Each of the team members were able to incorporate their own ideas and designs
