  • Development of own ideas - photographs and self-portrait drawings, other resources relating to you and your own IDENTITY eg; family photographs, maps, flags, cultural symbols/motifs/patterns, interests; music, sport, text; a quote, poem, lyrics etc
  • Design development- a set of a minimum of 4 different designs clearly annotated.
  • Final design development- final design and colour studies.
  • Final piece to scale.
  • Written explanation of final design making connections with artists and the theme IDENTITY.

Starting point: “Identity”

Research- dictionary meaning of starting point. Creative mind map on “identity”.

 

Research:

 

Research studies of the work of different artists, exploring a range of media and techniques. Studies are annotated giving information about the artist and their work relating to the theme “Identity”

Design ideas –

Photographs, drawings and annotations

 

Photographs taken and design ideas developed in the style of the artists studied in their research.

Design development:

Photographs taken relating to the theme identity. Different compositions explored.  

Development of final design:

 

The selection of the most successful design, introduction of text, colour scheme and use of media. Annotations used to explain how all are continually linked to the theme “Identity” and are informed by the artists studied.
