Analysis

Objectives:

  1. The learner will enroll in the Living the 7 Online course in Schoology and complete the pre-assessment survey by the end of September.
  2. The learner will complete one 10-20 minute lesson each week (9 modules total) over the course of the 2017-18 school year.
  3. The learner will actively participate in each weekly lesson by responding to asynchronous quiz and discussion questions, participating in face to face classroom discussions facilitated by a teacher, and creating and submitting end of lesson/module projects that demonstrate acquisition of skills and mastery of standards

Design

  • User Interface: Schoology will be utilized as the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Rationale:
    • CMS already pays for the licenses to use Schoology
    • All teachers on campus are required to use Schoology for their classes
    • All students already have accounts and utilize Schoology daily for coursework.
    • Schoology’s framework is ideal for creating and managing the number of teacher courses needed to deploy the trainings.
    • Schoology has built in group discussion and messaging features for communication
