Use Infinite Campus to select and request electives

You will select enough classes to fill 4 semesters for a full year. This could be either:

2 year-long classes
1 year-long class and 2 semester-long classes
or 4 semester classes

* Students in special programs like Academic Planning or Reading Enhancement will still select 2 full semester’s worth of classes. Counselors will add these courses to their schedule at a later date. *Spanish/Mandarin Immersion elective must be selected as a part of this process for students continuing with Immersion.�

You should decide which electives you want to take using the course catalog first, and then log in to Infinite Campus to request classes.

IMPORTANT!!! - Certain courses require prerequisites (Broadcast, Ind. Tech. 1B; Language 1B, etc.)

Please check the Course Catalog for the prerequisites.
Also address that they can sign up for a series. (i.e. If you want to take Broadcast, you need to take Video Production as the prerequisite. You can sign up for both and take Video Production first semester and Broadcast second semester, although for languages 1A is for a full year- so it might get tricky…). Afraid some kids may think they can only sign up for Broadcast if they’ve already taken Video Production, when in fact they can take both in the same year.

B) Remind students that they should decide which electives they would want to take using the course catalog first, and then log into the PAUSD Portal id.pausd.org

Once logged into the portal, students can access Infinite Campus to register for classes.

SELECT YOUR ELECTIVES

1. All 6 and 7 grade students must select electives by Wednesday, Feb 12th.

2. After selecting electives, students must print out a copy, sign it, have a parent/guardian sign it and submit it to the Counseling Office by 2/12.

3. Student Registration will be activated at 3:00 PM today.

Important Reminders:

Select classes from the catalog first (you can find on the Greene Webpage or pick up a printed copy in front of the main office), then select classes in Infinite Campus. Select classes in the order of preference (select the class you most want to take first).
Fill two periods for the full year. (2Y or 1Y+2S or 4S classes)
Select alternates so that all of your requested classes and alternates add to 7 courses total.
Certain courses require prerequisites (Broadcast, Ind. Tech. 1B; Language 1B, etc.). Please check the Course Catalog for prerequisites. You can sign up for a series like Art 1A and Art 1B in the same year
Print out your course selection summary, sign it, have your parents sign it, and turn it into the Counseling office by February 12th.
You MUST select your courses in IC by Friday, February 12th

Important Reminders (continued):

The directions and the video are available for download from the Greene homepage and will also be posted on Schoology. Use the directions to help you with this process.
Student registration will be activated today, February 5th at 3:00. Look through the Greene Course Registration book to see all the exciting elective choices.
MATH: 6th grade students will be placed into math courses after their placement tests and 7th grade students will be placed into the 8th grade equivalent of their current math lanes.
The K5 lab will be available during brunch, lunch, before and after school for students if they need IC assistance or need to print their course selection sheets.
Schedule Changes for 25 - 26 School Year: Only available for errors. No schedule changes allowed for preferences.
