WHAT IS PROJECT PLANNING?

  • Project planning is defined as the process of defining the schedule, resources, and processes for the successful execution of a particular project.
  • It is the process where everything is broken down into stages to ensure successful project delivery.
  • In other words, project planning tells the team what needs to be done, when it is to be done, and how it is to be done.

Project planning involves creating a set of plans to help guide your team through the implementation and closure phases of the project. The plans created during this phase will help you manage time, cost, quality, changes, risk, and related issues. They will also help you ensure that you deliver the project on time, within budget, and within schedule.
