Once you are logged into Edgenuity, you will be required to watch a short orientation video that explains how to use the Edgenuity program.

ONCE YOU ARE IN YOUR CLASS, YOU WILL PROGRESS THROUGH EACH LESSON

GOALS:

  • You have 24 days to complete all SLA classes
  • On Average, one SLA class should take 30-35 hours of active work to finish.
  • Set a realistic daily goal for yourself
  • Determine how many hours you will need to work each day to meet your goals
  • Use the in-person, at SHS help, as often as you need it!

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Students may come in to the SHS lab (in the library) during any day and/or time when it is available. Students must sign in when they come in and when leaving. Once in, stay until end.
  • You must have your own transportation.
  • Get into a routine. Set daily goals. Get it done!!
  • Students may complete all work at home or use the computer lab as needed.
  • Students must complete 100% of the SLA course, and pass with a 60% or higher by July 31st in order to successfully earn the credit(s) for Summer Learning Academy.
  • Maximum grade is a B for student transcript.
  • If you earn a grade below 60% in any course or do not complete a course, you will be re-enrolled in that course next school year.

LAB EXPECTATIONS:

  • Be respectful of lab resources (desktops, headphones, etc.)
  • Use desktops instead of chromebook (exceptions for this are if needing to utilize speaking and listening tools)
  • Heads up, students are expected to be working and focused while in the lab
  • Parent contact will be made daily based on sufficient progress
  • Access the bathroom in the 190s hallway, across from the front of the lab (students must sign in and out)
  • Students are expected to stay the entire session unless stated otherwise by the parent
  • Food and drinks can be consumed, but not while at desktop (must clean up after themselves)

LAB EXPECTATIONS CONTINUED:

  • When you are in the lab, you are expected to be working on your Edgenuity course(s).
  • Phones are not allowed to be visible - silenced, stored, and secured.
  • Students are able to take short breaks, but the focus needs to be on completing the work. Sleeping during this time is not acceptable.
  • Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Ensure you sign in each day you come to the computer lab.
  • The teachers are there to help you work through a problem, not do the work for you.
