Whatever your preference for these you can go ask for recommendations or even look at previous recommendations for a specific industry.

Suggested dialogue:

“I’m looking for a recommendation for a _______.” Reach out directly to who is recommended “you were highly recommended by ______. I’d like to introduce you to other local businesses on (day &time)”

Before I hang up…

Dialogue: Before I hang up (before I leave)…can you recommend a ________ in the area?” (you could ask for an email introduction, a text or something else.)

When you contact the introduced person:

“________ recommended you to me as a (industry). The reason for my call is I would like to invite you to network with other local businesspeople. We are sitting on referrals and money for someone in your industry.”�

Pick an industry you’d like to network with or that your chapter really wants. When you are on the phone or in person simply add the following:

If your visitor misses the meeting, sometimes people have something come up or timing isn’t good that week, so FOLLOW UP! It makes a great impression…

Partner in Person: 15-minute timer

The workshop is to take an idea from this week’s education topic and put it into action in your breakout rooms or partner with someone for in person meetings. Set a timer for 15 minutes. Each person discuss which idea you will use for the month. Take notes and include in an email to all as a follow up – copy your director so we can assist as well! Report weekly in your presentation how it’s going each week:
